Manor Ladies Division 6 Winners
On Thursday 4th November Tina (Lady Captain) and Helen were presented with the Staffordshire Ladies Scratch League Division 6 shield. Each league consists of 5 teams with the fixtures having 5 singles matches which are played off scratch, rather than using your golf handicap. The match parings being determined by the handicap order of the players in each team. The Manor has a good squad of players available with handicaps varying from 9 through to around 25.
In 2021 the Manor played Uttoxeter, Ingestre B, Branston C and Trentham D. The final fixture was against Ingestre, with the Manor being just one point ahead of them in the league a win or draw was needed. Home advantage certainly helped with the Manor winning by 4 matches to 1, and therefore the league shield. Next year will see the team competing in Division 5.
