1st Tee Opening
On a very blustery Sunday afternoon, members and officials of the Manor Golf Club, Kingstone, gathered for the official opening of the newest part of the course - a shared first tee, which had been constructed during the last lockdown, along with new upgrades to the wraparound extension, Venue 1461, which is used as a social space for the members, but can be hired for events such as weddings, birthdays and other celebrations.
Mr Bob Parker, longest serving member had the honour of cutting the tape and teeing off first. He was also joined by Pete North (President), Dave Marr (Captain), Kieth Martin (Seniors Captain), Fred Hill (Veteran rep), Tina Bond (Lady Captain), Amanda Edwards (Lady Vice Captain) and Club Professional, Phil Cary.
Bob Parker, afterwards, made a short speech about the club and its development since opening in 1992 as a nine hole course, extending to 18 holes, and now being a popular golf course for members and visitors.
